2022 AASC Winter Meeting

Good Day! I hope everyone is in World Cup mode?! I cannot wait! We are coming up time for the Ayr Adult Soccer League Winter Meeting. We will meet at the North Dumfries Community Complex on Tuesday, November 29th @ 7 p.m.

This is the time we work on new rules, formats, and designations. EVERY SINGLE YEAR, we get suggestions without alternatives, so to speak, but this is the time to get rules voted and chosen on, so I do encourage everyone to show up and make your voice heard.

If you can’t attend, please email the league @ ayr.adult.soccer.club@gmail.com with any ideas you may have. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

2022 Season comes to an end!

Well, after a 2 year hiatus, this league came back strong!  Some great games this year!  I’d like to recognize Celtic as our 2022 Regular Season and Playoff Champions. With United in 2nd, and Gunners taking the bronze!  The consolation round winners for 2022 was Ayr FC.  Congratulations ALL for a fantastic 2022.

New Trophies and Awards for 2022!

Our original trophies for the regular season champions ( Founders Trophy ) and playoff champions ( Powerade Cup ) are being replaced this year with two new cups.  The regular season trophy will continue to be called the Founders Trophy ( The same as our second soccer field – in honour of the league founders ). The new playoff champions trophy has been renamed the Tom McKeown Trophy, in honour of Tom McKeown who dedicated many years to soccer in our community and to our league as a referee.

Please see the new trophies under the League history and awards pages.

2021 Season – Cancelled

It’s with a heavy heart, the Executive Team have  decided to cancel the 2021 Season.

There are a number of factors that contributed to this decision including, but not limited to, vaccination rate/availability to those under 50 before the end of summer, field availability, survey responses to possible season, and overall viability to have a season in 2021 with all factors considered.

We will be having our annual AGM sometime in September, where there will be some upcoming changes to the executive team, and future league decisions will beed to be made. Details of this will be forthcoming, and whether this is help virtually or in person, we do request if at all possible, that as manu as possible attend.

We look forward to seeing you in September!
